So happy to be with the AMC

Hey to everybody,
I've just returned from the WAM conference in Boston. And I wanted to take some time to let all the AMC organizers (and esp. Mike Medow and Josh Breitbart)how grateful I am for the amazing work that they have done and continue to do to make the AMC what it is. It saves my heart and my sanity knowing that a group of people exist that I don't have to explain the differences between media justice and media reform, and I don't have to explain why media justice is the way to go. And I am especially grateful for the people who made the choice to make the AMC not just "diverse" but specifically anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-homophobic, etc. There is a difference, and the AMC conference exposes that difference better than any words I could ever say.
