NYC to AMC

New Yorkers heading to the AMC: Come together this Friday, May 16, 7pm - 10pm at the Brecht Forum.

Grace Lee Boggs described the last year's Allied Media Conference as a movement milestone. The 10th AMC promises to be even more momentous. While maintaining a focus on media and communications, the AMC has transcended media activism to become a key gathering for many different networks and movements.

New Yorkers have been key to the AMC's growth and we will be playing an important role at this year's conference. For the first time, many of us are traveling together on a chartered bus. This gathering on Friday at the Brecht Forum is a chance for us to come together. What shared values have made us all choose to go to this event in Detroit? What do we bring as New Yorkers to this national event? This is also a chance to ask important logistical questions.

This will be an informal event. Refreshments will be served. The event is free. Committed AMC attendees are encouraged to attend, but people who have not decided to attend the AMC but want to learn more are welcome. Please spread this invitation.
