Bio: 
Maegan "la Mala" Ortiz is a Queens, NYC born and bred Nuyorican. She is currently co-partner of 2 Mujeres Media, an internet publishing company behind VivirLatino.com, where she is a managing editor. She is also known as Mamita Mala, from her longstanding blog, Mamita Mala - One Bad Mami, dealing her life in the radical Latina mami'hood. She is a contributor to The Latin Americanist blog and Anti-Racist Parent. Her words and opinions have been featured in Latina magazine, the Washington Post, and on NPR. She is also a performance poet. Currently, she is working on a book and gladly accepts offers to watch her kids so she can finish sometime before she dies.
